DYSPORT®
Dysport® is produced by Medicis (also the makers of Restylane® and Perlane®) and was FDA approved in April of 2009 for treatment to temporary improve the appearance of moderate to severe glabella lines in adults younger than 65 yrs old. Dysport® has been used for cosmetic use to treat glabella lines in the United Kingdom since 1991 and is being used in 76 countries for therapeutic use and 27 countries for aesthetic use.
Dysport® is a simple, effective, non-surgical treatment that works by relaxing facial muscles on the forehead, thereby reducing and smoothing away frown-lines and wrinkles. The most common areas treated are the glabella, forehead muscles, and crows.
